Venue

The Intergovernmental Summit meetings will be held at the PALEXPO Exhibition Center in Geneva. (See illustration below). Summit Events, including those taking place before the Summit, will be held at the same venue and other outside locations such as the International Conference Center (CICG) or the Palais des Nations.


General Information



The
PALEXPO Exhibition Center in Geneva is ideally situated:
a. Next to Cointrin International Airport, (free shuttle buses will be available from the airport to Palexpo and from Palexpo to the airport)
b. Next to Airport Train Station, Free shuttle buses form the airport (walking distance)

c. On both sides of the freeway, (Free parking P47/49 with a shuttle bus to Palexpo)

d. Ten minutes away by bus from the city center. (Public buses are free for the accredited participants)


WSIS at PALEXPO
During the Summit, exhibition halls 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, the entrance hall and the conference center will be used.

The overall space will be divided in
three distinct zones:
The first zone will be reserved for the intergovernmental conference. The plenary meeting room will accommodate 3000 delegates (Hall 1),

The second zone will be for the events accessible to all participants accredited to the Summit. (Hall 2, Entrance Hall, Conference Center),

The third zone will be a space open to both Summit participants and the public. (Hall 4). Hall 7 will be used for the registration of participants.

Main entrance is on Hall 5, Hall 6 is not used
